In a sort of network exchange between collectors, associations, experts and specialised rose-growing institutions in different countries knowledge and experiences are exchanged.

Kinds of roses are (re-)spread and the general interest in historic roses is promoted.

All the work grounds on the personal dedication of the particular members and is privately organised to minimise the administration charges.

"LB" works with other associations and organisations concerned with similar aims as well as with single persons. We are pleased with committed members, but a membership is not basic for a cooperation.

Rare kinds of roses should not be exclusive treasures but cultural common property and they should be available for everyone loving them. Surely identified rarities are as soon as possible effectively accreted by the cooperating rose-growing institutions.

In order to protect the existence of seldom roses, their availability is necessary: Only these kinds spread in as many countries and gardens as possible are save from being forgotten and being lost.

Nobody is able to know everything. Therefore it is important to bring together special interests, special expert know-how and special competencies.
